expansion of Forfar is currently being considered by Angus Council?
Are you aware that part of this Local Plan will decide
where houses will be built in Forfar for the period 2006- 2011?
Angus Council have already produced their Consultative Draft
Local Plan
which at that time clearly showed Westfield as their favoured
area for development.
Were you consulted at the time?
Have you been heard?
We, at Promote Angus believe our proposed development at Turfbeg
to
be a better location. Located next to the High School, close to
both the
Leisure Centre and the Town centre, we believe Turfbeg simply
to be a
much more desirable place to live.
Other alternative sites within the town may also meet the housing
needs of the local people.
Angus Council will produce their Finalised Draft Local Plan in
the near
future.
There will soon be a 6 week period where you again will receive
the
opportunity 'to be heard' and when your comments and objections
will
be considered.
Where would you prefer to stay in Forfar?
Please remember, you do have a choice!
Any proposal should only be adopted in the Local Plan with the
support of both Angus Council and you, the local people.
